It’s been over 50 years and yet Norman Bates remains to be, in my opinion, the most perfectly casted character for a horror movie of all time. It’s been said that Anthony Perkins’ career suffered horribly after Psycho because nobody could ever see him as any other character again. If that’s not phenomenal acting, I don’t know what is.

”I think he projects such power because of his total lack of egocentricity. A lot of actors want to be sexy, cute, adorable…do anything to win an audience to their side…cater to every cheap, trendy, obvious appeal that will make them laugh. Al couldn’t care less. He’s too honest, and he loves the characters he plays too deeply to go in for that sort of thing. That’s why he can turn acting into poetry.”   —Jill Clayburgh

Audrey Hepburn May 4, 1929 - January 20, 1993.

“I decided, very early on, just to accept life unconditionally; I never expected it to do anything special for me, yet I seemed to accomplish far more than I had ever hoped. Most of the time it just happened to me without my ever seeking it.” - Audrey Hepburn
